The youth camp for adult Estonian compatriots 2025
The youth camp for adult Estonian compatriots will take place from August 17th to 24th, 2025, partially in Tallinn and partially out of town. The camp welcomes 30 young people of Estonian descent aged 18–30, including up to 24 participants living abroad and 6 from Estonia, who wish to explore Estonia and make new friends.
The camp aims to provide young people of Estonian origin living abroad with the opportunity to learn about life, study, and work opportunities in Estonia, as well as to deepen their knowledge of the Estonian language, culture, and history.
This is a great chance to strengthen ties with Estonia, visit cultural and historical sites, exchange experiences, and discover Estonia. Participants will learn about the government, educational opportunities, and business environment. During the camp, we will explore Estonian traditions, practice the language, and contribute to the preservation of Estonian culture and identity worldwide.
The camp also offers an opportunity to build new friendships and networks among young people from Estonia and abroad.
Participation in the camp is free of charge. However, participants should be prepared for some personal expenses, such as a few meals and any additional costs of their choice. Participants are responsible for covering their travel expenses to and from Tallinn and their health insurance.
To apply for the 2025 camp, please fill out the online registration form by May 04, 2025.
Please note that registration does not guarantee a place in the camp. Final confirmation of participation will be sent via email within two weeks after the registration ends.
If there are more applicants than available camp places, priority will be given to those participants who live far away from Estonia, have not participated in the camp before (or have participated only 1-2 times) and have submitted a meaningful motivational letter.
We also encourage young people from Estonia with a good command of Estonian (level B2+) to register, as they will support language learning and help compatriots settle in during the camp.
Selected participants will sign an agreement confirming their awareness and commitment to actively engage in the camp’s activities. If a spot becomes available, it will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.
Before attending the camp, please ensure that all travel documents are valid and that you have valid health insurance for Estonia.
The youth camp for adult Estonian compatriots is funded by the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia.
