Application round is open to support projects of Estonian communities abroad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Integration Foundation, supports the initiatives of Estonians around the world. The call for applications for self-initiated projects by communities abroad helps to carry out various events that strengthen the connection of Estonians living abroad with Estonia, help maintain Estonian identity and increase awareness of diaspora activities in Estonia.

The aim of the call for applications is to strengthen the sense of belonging of Estonian communities, help maintain Estonian identity abroad and support Estonia's positive image in the world. Diaspora-related projects in Estonia are also welcome.

The deadline for submitting applications is March 3rd 2026. The total amount of the call for applications is 100,000 euros, of which the maximum support amount for one project is 5,000 euros. Each applicant can submit up to two applications.

The information session for the application round will take place in the Teams environment on February 17th 2026, starting at 16:00 (Estonian time). Please register for the information session in advance (until 16.02) at kaire.cocker@integratsioon.ee.

Last year, a total of 47 projects received funding from the application round for self-initiated projects.

The application round for self-initiated projects of Estonian communities abroad is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented by the Integration Foundation.
