Celebrate the anniversary of Estonian independence with us in San Francisco on Saturday, February 28!Host: San Francisco Estonian Society / San Francisco Eesti SeltsCo-host: Korp!Vironia USA KoondisFeatured guest speakers: Maarja Merivoo-Parro, radio personality and historian • Indrek Sarap, CISAC visiting scholar Honorary Consul Christine Morgan San Francisco Estonian Choir • ReceptionOur featured guest speaker is Maarja Merivoo-Parro, radio personality and historian on the topic of “Bleed blue, black and white: Notes about the adventure and poetry of global Estonia.” We are also pleased to have as a special guest Indrek Sarap, Visiting Scholar at the Centre for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) at Stanford University, who will share observations regarding the current security environment in Estonia and the Baltic Sea Region drawn from his experience working at the Headquarters of the Estonian Defence Forces, where he participated in advance crisis planning. We’ll also be joined by Honorary Consul Christine Morgan, and the San Francisco Estonian Choir. Doors open at 4PM for a festive reception - dessert and coffee follow the program.TICKETS$35 in advance /$40 at the door (suggested donation - rises February 25). Under 18 free.
