Uued Juured: Foreign Estonian Camp Reunion
Prangli Saar / Prangli Island
Harjumaa
Estonia
Come spend a long weekend on Prangli Island in Estonia (August 21-23, 2026), reconnecting with fellow alumni from Estonian diaspora camps around the world. Whether you attended a camp in Estonia, Canada, Germany, Finland, or elsewhere, this is your chance to pick up where you left off and meet other camp participants you haven't crossed paths with yet. The event will be conducted in English with plenty of opportunities to practice or improve your Estonian.
The program is for foreign Estonians ages 18-35 who have previously attended a foreign Estonian camp. The program begins on Friday afternoon with a meeting point in Tallinn and a ferry ride to the island before returning on Sunday afternoon. Saturday is the heart of it: Island exploration in the morning, followed by an afternoon of games, discussions, and sharing about opportunities for Estonians abroad (scholarships, internships, study programs, and diaspora community resources), with space for everyone to share their own experiences. Finally, the evening will end the Estonian way — dinner together and sauna.
Accommodation on the island and meals are provided throughout the stay, transport to the island and ferry tickets are not covered. There is no separate participation fee for the camp.
Those who are unable to attend are also welcome to join for an informal beach gathering on August 17, connecting with other camp alumni, sharing experiences, and enjoying the Estonian summer together in Tallinn. More information and details coming soon on the Global Estonian events page.
Please note that registration does not guarantee acceptance as spots are limited. Please apply early!
This event is part of Uued juured, a project supported by Integratsiooni Sihtasutus and the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
