Contemporary jazz music by Mingo Rajandi
Belgia
Estonian musician and composer, double bass player Mingo Rajandi, together with her all-stars ensemble performs Rajandi's programmes "Elajannad" and "Werewolves" dealing with the confrontations and taboos, prejudices and fears in society. Characterised by dark, warm, and low tones, the ensemble's music seamlessly blends acoustic and electronic elements to craft cinematic journeys. Vibrant melodies collide with broken and pure tones, leading to unexpected crescendos. The music encompasses beautiful melodies, ecstatic improvisations, minimalist ambience, free-form expression, jarring dissonances, and raw simplicity.
