On May 22, Estonian singers are being invited to the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds to record a song of support for Ukraine under the song arch. The joint choir will be conducted by Hirvo Surva and the aim of the call is to get ten thousand singers together.

The iconic Ukrainian song “Oi u luzi chervona kalyna” (“Red Barn Tree on a Loop”) will be performed. The video will be recorded on Sunday, May 22 at 5 pm. All singers are welcome to sing, pre-registration is required.

The event is organized by photographer Kaupo Kikkas, entrepreneur Enno Rätsep and composer Jonas Tarm. "The desire of our choir singers to show their support together is obvious - we will help Ukraine in every possible way anyway. It is important that the world does not forget for a moment what is happening in Ukraine and that this support does not subside or get tired. Only the power of the common song was still missing. ” says Kaupo Kikkas about the idea.

All Estonian choirs receive an invitation through the choir association, but all Estonian singers who are not currently members of the choirs are welcome to sing.
