KESKUS, the International Estonian Centre has aligned with the April 1, 2021 announcement by the Government of Ontario, restricting outdoor gathering to a maximum of five participants. After careful consideration, KESKUS is postponing the ceremonial groundbreaking event that had been scheduled for April 7, 2021.

While site preparation continues as part of the construction schedule, the timing of the groundbreaking ceremony will be held at a future date when we can safely gather in numbers that better reflect the community spirit that has brought this extraordinary project thus far.

KESKUS, the International Estonian Centre in downtown Toronto will be a dynamic hub showcasing our rich heritage and promoting Estonian innovation. It will be a vibrant gathering place for Estonians of all generations and backgrounds to connect, celebrate, and share our culture and achievements with each other and the world. (Opening mid-2022).
