The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is updating the Global Estonian Action Plan for 2026–2029, and now everyone around the world has the opportunity to share their thoughts and help shape the future of Estonian identity abroad.

As part of ESTO 2025, the Global Estonian Networks Day brought together representatives from diaspora organizations and communities worldwide who shared valuable experiences, inspired each other, and discussed how to support sustainable development of the diaspora and strengthen the future.

If you were unable to participate in the brainstorming sessions, you still have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of Global Estonians ("eestlus")!

We welcome your thoughts, proposals, and comments by August 20 via email at: diasporaa@mfa.ee

Take a look at the current action plan and get an overview of what we are discussing: open the Global Estonian Action Plan 2022–2025 (in Estonian).

You can also watch the recordings of the Networks Day speeches and discussions, including opening remarks by ESTO 2025 President Sirle Sööt and Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna, an overview of the action plan by Marin Mõttus and Kadri Linnas, as well as ESTO 2025 youth visions. Workshop summaries are also included — all in one video: watch the broadcast of the Global Estonians Networks Day.

Share your thoughts today to support strengthening connections, growing Estonian unity, and making Estonia greater together across the world.
