Youth Congress “Multilingualism Opens Doors” in Narva on 28 June, opened by the President of the Republic Alar Karis. The Youth Congress discussed four issues:
1) What is multilingualism?
2) How to achieve multilingualism?
3) What are the challenges in achieving multilingualism?
4) What doors or opportunities does multilingualism open up (for people, society, country)?
The panellists were: Alyona Laanemann, Aleksander Kasak, Minister of Education and Research Kristina Kallas, Head of the Narva Estonian State Gymnasium Irene Käosaar, Liina Viies, diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Rita Niineste from the EU Commission.
