- The Global Estonian Diaspora Networking Day on 1 July at the Tallinn Creative Hub.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Global Estonian Diaspora Networking Day gave participants the opportunity to take part in networking discussions in various fields, to share their ideas, create new contacts, and strengthen existing ones.
The networking discussions in which visitors were able to participate were:
Estonian schools and summer camps abroad;
Estonian houses and outdoor associations abroad;
Estonian media and communication networks abroad;
Estonian archives and libraries, and preserving the memory of Estonia abroad;
Estonian churches and congregations abroad;
Estonian academics, student associations and corporations abroad;
Estonian folk culture (choirs, folk dance groups, theatres, and ethnographic craft circles) abroad;
Estonian artists and art collections abroad;
Estonian writers and translators abroad.
The input gathered during the Networking Day will be taken into account in the renewal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Estonian Diaspora Action Plan.
