We continue with our web series Mina, eestlane (I am Estonian). This time, we will talk to the people from the Peterburi Eesti Klubi (Saint Petersburg Estonian Club) about the Estonian diaspora in St Petersburg.
On 23 March 2019, Estonians living in Saint Petersburg founded the organisation Saint Petersburg Estonian Club – ‘A Window to Europe’. The organisation has set itself the goal of teaching Estonian and introducing Estonian traditions in Saint Petersburg. Its activities also include the development of partnerships and cooperation between citizens of the two countries.
This time, we give the floor to members of the organisation, who will talk about their activities and invite other Estonians to get involved.
