Kirjeldus:

This spring, the Music Talsinki club series brings you Night Tapes – a dream-pop trio with Estonian and British roots, known for their enchanting blend of ethereal vocals, deep melodies, and modern production. The concert at G Livelab Helsinki marks the band's first live performance in Finland!

Night Tapes was born in 2019 in South London, when Estonian singer Iiris Vesik, drummer and multi-instrumentalist Max Doohan, and guitarist Sam Richards began creating music together in their shared apartment during late-night jam sessions. The band's name was inspired by the cassette tapes they used to record their music.

From those 2019 jam sessions, Night Tapes has come a long way. In January 2025, the trio received the prestigious Music Moves Europe Award, an honour given annually to promising European artists in the early stages of their careers.

And that's not all – 2025 has been an exciting year for the band so far! They recently wrapped up their US tour alongside the French nu-disco sensation L’Impératrice, performed at Europe's largest showcase festival, Eurosonic, and were nominated in two categories at the Estonian Music Awards: Indie/Alternative Album of the Year (won in previous year) and Band of the Year.

Night Tapes has released several acclaimed EPs, including "Dream Forever In Glorious Stereo" (2019), "Download Spirit" (2020), "Perfect Kindness" (2023), and their latest release "assisted memories" (2024), featuring the fan-favourite track "drifting." In February, the band dropped the single, "Television", a captivating preview of their upcoming full-length album set for release this autumn.

Iiris Vesik, professionally known as Iiris, has also gained individual recognition. She won the Estonian Music Award for Best Female Artist in 2013 following the release of her debut album, The Magic Gift Box. Her work received multiple nominations at the same year’s Estonian Music Awards, including Best Album, Best Debut Album, and Best Pop Album.

Music Talsinki events are held in cooperation with G Livelab, Jazz Estonia and the Estonian Embassy in Helsinki. Supported by the Estonian Ministry of Culture, the Cultural Endowment of Estonia and Music Estonia.

Concert is open for all ages.
