Anyone returning to Estonia is welcome to attend our support meetings!

The Integration Foundation is organising a series of meetings for those who have returned to Estonia from living abroad in order to help them better readjust to life in the country and make contact with others going through the same experience.

Meetings take place every few months online or in person and are free for everyone. Follow our Facebook group and web page to know when and where the next meeting will be.

During the meetings the attendees get to hear how others who have returned to Estonia are coping with being back in the country, share their own experiences and concerns and obtain useful information and support in organising their lives more effectively.

Repatriation is the process of Estonian citizens, ethnic Estonians and their descendants returning in Estonia.

The return support is directed toward the return of families with children who have been abroad for an extended period of time, especially since moving expenses will grow as the family grows.
Persons who are certified as incapacitated and young people, who are up to 40 years old and have completed their postgraduate and doctoral studies abroad, are also supported.

The purpose of the support is to avoid the deterioration of the socio-economic situation of the returning people due to the resettling costs. Return support aims to mitigate the cost of resettling for families with children and provide socio-economic support to parents who have not succeeded in finding a job after their return or have not managed to re-enter the labour market due to the age of their children.

The support is divided into basic support and additional support. The basic support contributes to the creation of the living conditions of the returning people in Estonia and faster integration into and adaptation to the society. The additional support will contribute to the creation of living conditions for the minor children of the returning person in Estonia and the covering of transportation and resettling costs.

The aim of the return support is to help minimize any return-related socio-economic difficulties.
