There are a few possible reasons why your event was not published.

Global Estonian focuses on events that are relevant to Estonians living abroad. We generally don’t publish events that take place in Estonia, unless they are of special significance — for example, the Song and Dance Celebration (Laulu- ja tantsupidu).

How can I apply for or renew an Estonian passport or ID card while abroad?

Abroad, you can apply for or renew an Estonian passport or ID card in three ways:

Who manages Global Estonian?

The Global Estonian portal is managed by the Integration Foundation. The founder of the foundation is the Republic of Estonia, with the Ministry of Culture exercising founder’s rights. The monthly newsletter is curated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

What are the visa requirements for entering Estonia?

Estonia is a member of the European Union and part of the Schengen visa area. Visa requirements depend on your nationality, the purpose of your visit, and its duration. How is parental benefit calculated and what factors affect it if a person moves to Estonia with a child and has not previously worked in Estonia?

The parental benefit is a replacement income that is determined and paid based on the applicant’s taxable income in Estonia. If the person has not previously worked in Estonia and has had no taxable income here, the parental benefit is granted at the base rate (minimum amount).

Minimum rate
In 2024, the amount is €725 per month gross (€24.16 per day). The rate changes each year. In 2025, the parental benefit rate will increase to €820 per month (€27.33 per day). The benefit is taxable.
